Job Summary:

The Building Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our apartment/condominium complex. This includes sweeping, mopping, and waxing hallways, floors, and stairs, as well as operating industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and waste.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of the building, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing hallways, floors, and stairs.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and waste.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Supervision: Supervise other workers and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners, power tools, and other equipment as required.
Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Work Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Apartment/condominium complex in an urban area.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
