Retail Sales Associate

As a Consumables Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the success of our retail operations. This dynamic role requires a customer-focused individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, providing a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Greet customers in a polite and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Assist customers by promoting products, locating merchandise, and making purchase decisions, providing expert advice and guidance.
- Resolve customer issues and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues to management as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, restocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, and setting up product displays.
- Ensure proper handling of claims and returns, securing merchandise, and identifying high-shrink items, maintaining a safe work environment.
- Receive and stock merchandise, utilizing equipment and administrative tasks as required.
- Refer service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive shopping experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve customer issues and concerns.
- Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash and operating a cash register.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods, with regular breaks.
