Job Title: Retail Store Associate at The Sherwin-Williams Company

This role is vital for the operational success of our retail locations. Retail Store Associates engage with both wholesale and retail clients to assess their requirements, respond to product inquiries, and suggest appropriate solutions. They are also tasked with addressing customer issues promptly, maintaining comprehensive product knowledge, and ensuring high standards of quality and presentation within the store.

  • Deliver exceptional customer satisfaction through outstanding sales service
  • Assist customers both in-person and via phone by identifying needs and offering suitable products and services
  • Establish and nurture productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail clients
  • Accurately process sales transactions in accordance with company policies
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure work forms are current
  • Retrieve necessary products, mix colors, and organize shelves
  • Clean store equipment and uphold designated areas
  • Stay updated on available products and present options to customers
  • Adhere to inventory management procedures
  • Propose strategies to enhance sales performance

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least seventeen (17) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
  • Capable of lifting weights up to 50 lb, occasionally up to 70 lb
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in French
  • If currently employed by The Sherwin-Williams Company, must have received a performance evaluation rating of 'meets expectations' (3) in the last assessment
  • If currently employed by The Sherwin-Williams Company, must have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning training for the current position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid and unrestricted driver's license
  • Hold at least a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
  • Experience in sales of paint and related products
  • Familiarity with color tinting and mixing equipment
