About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Business Growth Leader** to join our team at Colliers Project Leaders. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development in our Northern Ontario region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Develop and execute annual business plans and budgets to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of Project Leaders, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their success.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business unit leaders and project teams, to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Market Analysis and Strategy: Conduct market analysis and develop strategies to identify new business opportunities and expand our services in the local market.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead the implementation of operational excellence initiatives to improve quality, commercial/financial, people, and culture objectives.
  • Talent Development: Work with team members to develop their skills and experience, and provide opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in local business community events and activities to promote our company and build relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operations leadership and business unit growth, preferably in professional services.
  • Professional industry credentials or MBA (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience).
  • Experience managing a portion of a high-growth P&L to Plan.
  • Clear understanding of a professional services business model, including workforce composition and resource management strategies, risk management strategies, and commercial strategies.
  • Effective leadership and organizational skills with the ability to successfully lead teams and develop/implement operational plans for corporate initiatives.
  • Leadership experience in the diversification of a business and the development of new market opportunities.
  • The ability to project and maintain a positive outlook, demonstrate an energetic disposition, and motivate teams to achieve business growth ambitions.
  • An established network of industry contacts and relationships within the region as well as involvement with applicable regional industry and trade associations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, including a proven ability to write winning proposals and win competitive interviews.
