We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Strategy & Business Development to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. This individual will be responsible for driving the development and evaluation of strategic plans and high-priority projects for our operating businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute on project plans and drive projects to completion.
  • Communicate effectively with senior business professionals and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business managers and partners across the organization.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to operating businesses to drive business growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., business, economics, finance).
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in Strategy and Business Development, ideally at a consulting firm or in Corporate Strategy/Corporate Development at a leading Canadian retail company.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, with a good understanding of Retail, Food, or Consumer Goods.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and time-manage to deliver across a variety of priorities.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to tackle complex projects and deal with unstructured problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships across varying levels of the organization.
  • Strong willingness to learn and ability to be flexible, self-directed, and organized in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
