Job Description

Job Title: Principal - Educational Leader

Job Summary:

Nelson Christian Community School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal to lead our educational team. As a Christian school, we are committed to providing a safe and caring family environment where students can thrive academically, spiritually, and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide educational leadership and vision for the school
  • Develop and implement curriculum, assessment, and instructional practices that meet the diverse needs of learners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, students, and parents
  • Make wise decisions that align with core values and professional norms
  • Manage time and priorities effectively to achieve goals
  • Resolve problems in a fair and dignified manner

Qualifications:

  • Valid BC teaching certificate
  • Master's degree in education or a related field (asset)
  • Minimum of five years of teaching experience in a K-9 setting
  • Proven track record of effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a faith-based learning environment (asset)
  • Principal or Vice Principal experience (asset)
  • Acceptance of the NCCS Statement of Faith
