Job Opportunity at Nelson Waldorf School

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a Kindergarten Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Kindergarten curriculum, integrating BC Ministry requirements and Waldorf curriculum, and reporting on students according to Faculty agreements and BC Ministry requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver the Kindergarten Curriculum, incorporating BC Ministry requirements and Waldorf curriculum
  • Report on students, adhering to Faculty agreements and BC Ministry requirements
  • Abide by BC Independent School teacher conduct and competence standards
  • Lead class parent conferences
  • Reports to the Principal of School
Terms of Employment:

Permanent, full-time position, with a salary range of $53,508.50 to $72,771.56, plus benefits (health, disability, life insurance, and tuition) and increments for related experience.

Education and Skill Requirements:
  • BC Teacher Certification
  • Completed Waldorf Teacher Training, with a clear understanding of Rudolf Steiner's education and philosophy, preferred or willingness to take the Waldorf training
