Nelson Christian Community School (NCCS) is seeking a dynamic Principal to lead our faith-based school community.

We are looking for a Christ-centered leader with a passion for quality Christian education who exhibits proven expertise in education and leadership. The ideal candidate will be a strong spiritual leader who models integrity and faith with a passion for Christ-centred education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain trusting, strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Implement curriculum, assessment, and instructional practices that meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Make wise decisions aligned with core values and professional norms, and best interests of staff and students.
  • Be highly organized, efficient, and manage time and priorities well.
  • Resolve problems while maintaining the dignity of all parties.

Qualifications:

  • Valid BC teaching certificate.
  • Master's degree in education or a related field is an asset.
  • A minimum of five years of teaching experience in a K-9 setting.
  • A proven track record of effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experienced teacher (minimum of 5 years) with training and understanding of the meaning and value of a faith-based learning environment.
  • Principal or Vice Principal experience is considered an asset.
  • Acceptance of the NCCS Statement of Faith, without reservation.
