We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at fishRecruit Inc. in Canada.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional with experience in HRBP roles, preferably in the retail industry, to contribute to our company's success by supporting the effective delivery of Human Resources programs and services to all employees in assigned areas or districts within a territory.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our stores, including talent development, succession planning, employee relations, and benefits administration.

  • Talent Development: Provide staffing support for designated areas, conduct new employee orientations, and facilitate succession planning sessions to identify bench gaps and risk performers.
  • Employee Relations: Consult with store leaders to foster a positive work environment, investigate and resolve employee relations issues, and ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
  • Benefits Administration: Provide information on benefits, compensation, training, and other HR programs and services, and work with payroll on problem resolution.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate teams, advocate and lead through change, and develop your leadership capabilities through coaching, problem-solving, and results-oriented initiatives.

Key Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience as an HRBP in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the retail industry and local/country employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Able to identify opportunities and build practical solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including communication, collaboration, relationship management, influence, conflict management, and resolution.
