Business Challenge

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our data pipelines and repositories, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems and infrastructure.

Opportunity

We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to design, develop, and implement data solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data visualization. They will work closely with our IT, Finance, and Marketing teams to deliver high-quality data insights and support informed decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Data Warehouse Management: Provide day-to-day management and support of our data warehouse systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • ETL Process Development: Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, and other related technologies.
  • Data Visualization: Collaborate with data consumers to gather requirements, create effective data workflows, and ensure data is optimized for reporting and integration.
  • Business Intelligence: Analyze business requirements for reporting and analysis, translating results into technical data design documents.
  • Metadata Management: Implement and manage metadata repositories, including approval workflows, data definitions, and technical definitions.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Create plans, test files, and scripts for data warehouse testing, ranging from unit to integration testing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum two years' experience in Snowflake, SQL server coding, SQL server database administration, and data warehouse development and architecture.
  • Demonstrable understanding of dimensional modeling and other data warehousing techniques.
  • Strong ability to draft, analyze, and debug SQL queries and be proficient in scripting languages such as Python, C Sharp, Perl, and others.
  • Familiar with ETL, data warehousing, and data visualization design principles.
  • Hands-on physical and logical database designing experience.
  • Creative thinker with excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Deep passion for data analytic technologies and analytical modeling.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
