Restaurant Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Waves Coffee Steveston. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our café, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates to ensure the financial health of our café.
  • Customer Service: Serve food and beverages to our customers, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
  • Staff Management: Schedule and manage staff, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Workplace Safety: Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate safety and health hazards, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Inventory Management: Order and manage stock levels to ensure we have the necessary supplies to meet customer demand.
  • Marketing: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our café and attract new customers.
Requirements:
  • Availability: Be available for shift or on-call work, including evenings and weekends.
  • Language: Speak fluent English, as this is our primary language of communication.
  • Relocation: Be willing to relocate for this position, if required.
  • Residency: Currently reside in proximity to our café location.
  • Experience: Have previous experience in the food service industry, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Education: Have completed a minimum of a college or CEGEP level of education.

Work Term: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
