Job Title: Application Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team at Veridos GmbH. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support to our customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to our customers, providing technical guidance and support for various engagements, including technical development, configuration, and product support.
  • Analyze customer requirements and create technical and functional designs to meet their needs.
  • Triage reported problems or issues, identifying the root cause and engaging the proper party to resolve the issue.
  • Configure client setup on commercial applications to reflect technical requirements.
  • Perform unit, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Package and support deployment or releases to production systems and endpoint client terminals.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd-level support and coverage for applications and other software.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of software development experience in a Windows environment.
  • Knowledge of one or more object-oriented programming languages, specifically Java and C#.
  • 2+ years of experience with MS SQL, including stored procedures, functions, and queries.
  • Excellent understanding of various file formats and software integration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot at the system level, network, hardware, software, OS, etc.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
  • Must be able to work against deadlines and outside regular office hours when necessary.
  • Must be willing to travel to regional offices and global production sites to provide support and coverage.
