Job Title: Application Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team at Veridos GmbH. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support to our customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to our customers, providing technical guidance and support for various applications and software systems.
  • Analyze customer requirements and create technical designs to meet their needs.
  • Work closely with development teams to resolve technical issues and implement new features.
  • Configure and troubleshoot complex software systems, including image capturing, facial recognition, and SQL databases.
  • Perform unit, system, and user acceptance testing to ensure high-quality software releases.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd-level support for our applications and other software systems.
  • Interface with development managers and project managers to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of software development experience in a Windows environment.
  • Knowledge of one or more object-oriented programming languages, specifically Java and C#.
  • 2+ years of experience with MS SQL, including stored procedures, functions, and queries.
  • Excellent understanding of various file formats and software integration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot at the system level, network, hardware, software, and OS.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
  • Must be able to work against deadlines and outside regular office hours when necessary.
  • Must be willing to travel to our regional offices and global production sites to provide support and coverage.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related field.
