Job SummaryThis position requires a highly motivated and compassionate LPN to work in an Assisted Living environment. The successful candidate will provide nursing assessment, service planning, care planning, interventions, and evaluation of outcomes for tenants requiring nursing care.
Responsibilities/Duties:- Assesses care plans, implements, and evaluates care to meet the needs of clients in accordance with competency guidelines and within established standards of practice and current legislative scope of practice.
- Acts as a healthcare professional and an active member of the Assisted Living Team by working collaboratively with Mental Health teams, Occupational Health Teams, and other team members involved in client care.
- Provides medication management and administers medication to tenants in accordance with established guidelines and policy.
- Ensures care is provided or delegates in accordance with established program policies, including encouraging and assisting clients in activities of daily living such as bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, toileting, and personal grooming.
- Completes and maintains related records and documentation pertinent to Tenant Care, such as progress notes, observations, Kardex, and client charting.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses.
- Current full practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC (CLPNBC).
- Certificates in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid.
- Recent, related experience of 2 years or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently within a multidisciplinary team approach to tenant support, care, and service provision. They must also be physically able to perform the duties of the position.
Compensation and Benefits:We offer a competitive salary ranging from $32.84 to $41.35 per hour, depending on experience. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including group benefits, RRSP pension, and exclusive perks/discounts available only to SE Health staff.
