Job Title: ADHD Specialist Nurse

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced ADHD Specialist Nurse to join our interdisciplinary care team at Vancouver Coastal Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to adults living with ADHD in our region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments in consultation with the physician and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide crisis intervention and independently conducts psychotherapy/group/family sessions for clients/families.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication initiation, stabilization, and education.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines for ADHD treatment.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to ADHD care.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in ADHD assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide culturally sensitive care to diverse populations.
  • Basic computer literacy to operate electronic health records and other software systems.
