Canada Operations Leadership Position

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as Director of Operations in Canada. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual who wants to drive success and lead high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit, deploy, and utilize staff effectively while controlling labor hours and variable costs to meet production targets.
- Provide leadership to managers and supervisors, ensuring fair treatment of employees by enforcing consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- Develop strong bench strength among managers and supervisors.
- Lead strategic activities to achieve annual work plans and objectives.
- Participate in site events and promote open communication.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading production SOPs, GMP, and SOX compliance. You will also act on behalf of the company during regulatory inspections and communicate with Health Canada, FDA, and Global Quality operations.
Continuous Improvement (OPEX)You will provide visible results based on leadership that drives continuous improvement within the operation. Identify and implement opportunities to optimize site efficiencies, capacity, and quality compliance.
ProductivityThe successful candidate will actively participate in developing strategic site planning models to increase volume capabilities. You will also oversee the execution of the production schedule.
Requirements- A post-secondary degree from a recognized Canadian university or equivalent non-Canadian institution in a related science field.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment at a management/supervisory level.
- PREFERRED: Experience in one or more of the following areas - Dispensing, Compounding, Tableting, Encapsulation, Coating, Planning, R&D, Process knowledge, Engineering, Maintenance, etc.
- ERP systems, Microsoft Office, TrackWise applications, Maintenance management systems, Automated Time and Attendance.
- Holistic manufacturing process knowledge.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical or Food industry.
- Travel Requirements: Between Teva Canada sites and between Teva Global sites (minimal).
