Part Time Intervenor to Support Individuals with Dual Sensory Impairment

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part Time Intervenor to join our team at Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada. As an Intervenor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are deafblind, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting individuals in their daily lives, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Using effective communication techniques to relay information and empower individuals to participate in all aspects of daily living.
- Assisting individuals in developing and achieving their goals and objectives.
- Providing personal care as required, including lifts and transfers, toileting, and medication administration.
- Ensuring documentation and records are complete and up-to-date.
- Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program or a related human services field.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions.
- Communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
- A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract.
- A competitive wage starting at $23.03/hour.
