Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada has an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team in London, ON. The Support Worker will support communication and day-to-day living for individuals who are living with dual sensory impairment so that they may live independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the individual in their home and community environments.
- Using communication techniques to relay information.
- Empowering the individual supported to participate and be successful in all aspects of daily living.
- Providing personal care as required.
- Assisting with developing and supporting individual goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program, or a related human services field.
- Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
- Communication in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Training and Development:
- We will train you how to support our clients through our in-house training program.
Other:
- Employment is conditional upon receipt of a successful Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- This position requires repetitive hand motion and good manual dexterity.
