Job Title: Part Time Intervenor to Support Deafblind Individuals

Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada is seeking a Part Time Intervenor to support individuals who are deafblind in their daily lives.

About the Role:

The Intervenor will work with individuals who are deafblind to support their communication and daily living needs, enabling them to live independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support individuals in their home and community environments
  • Use communication techniques to relay information
  • Empower individuals to participate and be successful in daily living activities
  • Provide personal care as required
  • Assist with developing and supporting individual goals and objectives
  • Ensure documentation and records are complete
Requirements:
  • Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program or a related human services field
  • Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors
  • Experience supporting persons with mental health conditions
  • Communication in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE)
  • Valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract
