Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Ontario Public Service. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with clients to develop and implement personalized plans to help them achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients' needs and develop individualized plans to address their physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Provide education and training to clients and their support networks on strategies for daily living, mobility, and independence.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor clients' progress and adjust plans as needed.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Current licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Basic security clearance and vulnerable sector check.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with clients with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
  • Fluency in multiple languages.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a hospital/medical facility or clinic setting.
  • May require physical demands such as standing, walking, and lifting.
