About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at East Side Mario's. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service establishment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to a high standard
  • Portion and wrap foods for customers
  • Keep accurate records of food quantities used
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in a timely manner
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work surfaces
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash regularly
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation
Work Environment

As a Kitchen Helper, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to stand for extended periods, work under pressure, and maintain a high level of physical activity throughout your shift.

Requirements
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
