Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on experience. Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and may be subject to a criminal background check.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Specialist to join our team in supporting ongoing international and local projects. This is a 4 to 6 week rotation position with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot survey equipment during offshore operations.
  • Responsible for the installation, testing, and project maintenance of survey equipment and systems.
  • Manage all survey/ROV interface cables and notify the Party Chief/Project Manager of non-serviceable survey equipment.
  • Commission, calibrate, and decommission survey equipment to the satisfaction of the Offshore Manager/Party Chief.
  • Ensure safe operation of survey equipment and systems, and account for offshore tracking of project equipment.
  • Maintain equipment logs and inventories, prepare cabling and interface diagrams, and monitor instruction and performance of junior technicians.
  • Communicate daily with the Party Chief and support the on-line surveyor during operations.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Post-secondary education in Electronics, IT, Hydrographic Survey, or Geomatics (experience can compensate for lack of formal competency).
  • Experience within the Oil & Gas/Renewables industry is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Document Control Systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
