Job Title: Senior Payroll and Benefits Specialist

A dynamic and deadline-driven role has become available with a company through Randstad Canada. The client is seeking a skilled candidate who can produce accurate and timely payroll for employees, communicate effectively, and deliver strong internal customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete payroll data for processing bi-weekly payroll for approximately 200 employees with a complex structure.
  • Reconcile payroll output reports and prepare employee statutory and non-statutory remittances (EHT, Pension, United Way, Union Dues, WSIB, Extended Health Benefits, and RRSP, etc.).
  • Handle benefits plan inquiries and prepare payroll-related journal entries.
  • Prepare compensation schedules and assist in the preparation of statistical reports.
Requirements:
  • Strong proficiency with Dayforce payroll, Excel, Word, and QuickBooks.
  • Experience with complex payroll structures.
  • 5 years of accounting experience.
