We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patrol and Safety Specialist to join our team at Grouse Mountain. As a key member of our Mountain Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first aid and emergency response services to injured guests and staff
- Assist in the day-to-day safety operations of the mountain, including opening and closing of ski runs, placing and maintaining fencing and signage, and reporting weather observations
- Participate in avalanche control and education initiatives, and respond to emergency procedures as required
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Perform other duties as required to support the safety and risk management of the resort
- Minimum 80-hour first aid certification
- Expert skiing/snowboarding ability in all terrain and conditions
- Strong risk management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous patrol experience and/or relevant certifications an asset
