Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Alpine Irrigation. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our grounds and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Hiring and Supervision: Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient and effective grounds maintenance operations.
- Grounds Maintenance Planning: Plan and direct grounds maintenance activities, including lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal.
- Labour and Materials Planning: Plan and estimate labour and materials required for grounds maintenance projects.
- Landscape Construction Management: Plan, manage, and supervise landscape construction work, including installation of irrigation systems and other outdoor features.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate work records and logs to track grounds maintenance activities and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Contract Administration: Tender and administer contracts for grounds maintenance services, including hiring contractors and managing vendor relationships.
- Supply Chain Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies required for grounds maintenance operations.
- Problem Solving and Technical Advice: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Work Scheduling and Procedures: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient and effective grounds maintenance operations.
- Security and Safety: Ensure that all grounds maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and secure manner, with a focus on maintaining basic security clearance.
- Work Environment and Physical Demands: Work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and standing for extended periods.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in grounds maintenance or a related field.
- Permanent employment with a regular 40-hour workweek.
- Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
