About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at CTC Golf and Turf. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our golf courses and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the health and appearance of our golf courses and grounds.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of labour and materials.
  • Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Oversee the construction of new landscapes and the renovation of existing ones.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Keep accurate records of work completed, including labour hours, materials used, and any issues encountered.
  • Tender and Administer Contracts: Manage contracts with external vendors and suppliers.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Source and procure the necessary materials, equipment, and supplies for grounds maintenance.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot issues and provide guidance to staff to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in grounds maintenance or a related field.
  • Work Setting: Various locations.
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, combination of sitting, standing, and walking, standing for extended periods.
