About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at CTC Golf and Turf. As a key member of our turf management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our golf courses and sports fields.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and training to perform their duties effectively.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to ensure the health and appearance of our turf.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct thorough assessments to determine the resources required to complete maintenance tasks, ensuring efficient use of staff and materials.
  • Plan, Manage and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Oversee the construction of new landscapes, including the installation of irrigation systems, drainage, and other features.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately record and maintain records of maintenance activities, including staff hours, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
  • Tender and Administer Contracts: Source and manage contracts for goods and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment and Supplies: Procure the necessary materials, equipment, and supplies to support maintenance activities.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot issues and provide guidance to staff to improve efficiency and quality of work.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
Requirements
  • Basic Security Clearance: Hold a valid security clearance to access company premises.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Combination of Sitting, Standing, Walking: Perform a variety of tasks that require standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods to perform tasks such as inspecting turf and equipment.
