Veterinary Technician

Department: Avian and Exotics
404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Avian and Exotics referral service. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Zoological Companion Animal specialists and other technicians, assistants, anesthesiologists, and surgeons to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Assist in the care and treatment of avian and exotic patients, including physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy.
- Prepare patients for surgery, assist during procedures, and ensure smooth patient recovery.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring timely and effective communication with veterinarians and other team members.
- Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients and their owners, addressing their concerns and needs with empathy and professionalism.
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously, utilizing strong problem-solving skills and effective communication to resolve issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with colleagues and pet owners to achieve exceptional patient outcomes, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
