Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at the 404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital in Newmarket, ON.
About the Role:This is a part-time, casual position that requires flexibility and a willingness to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our veterinary team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with medical procedures and patient care
- Conduct physical examinations, take vital signs, and collect medical histories
- Prepare and administer medications, as well as perform laboratory tests and procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Communicate effectively with clients and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with industry advancements

Requirements:- Completion of a veterinary technician program
- Registration with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
