We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency team at 404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital in Newmarket, ON.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work with a highly varied and unique caseload, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and developing skills in veterinary emergency and ICU care.
Responsibilities- Registered Veterinary Technician in Ontario (or passed VTNE within 1 year of start date)
- Preference given to those with experience as an RVT, but we also consider enthusiastic and motivated new graduates keen to learn and develop
- Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records
- Compassionate care for hospitalized patients and their pet parents
- Ability to problem-solve or ask clarifying questions to help find solutions
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with colleagues and pet parents
- Time-management skills, critical thinking, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
- Consistently safe and effective patient-handling skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility in rotational schedules along with members of the emergency team
