About the Opportunity:

Queen's University is seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Physician to join our Student Wellness Services team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive health care services to all Queen's University students, including medical and mental health services that help to optimize their physical and emotional health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing primary health care for patients with a focus on developing excellent therapeutic relationships.
  • Commit to providing care for the spectrum of common illnesses and issues in the 18-25 year old demographic.
  • Deliver crisis intervention/support to patients in need, collaborating with campus and/or community resources as required.
  • Document and bill each clinical encounter according to CPSO guidelines and within 5 business days of the encounter date.
  • Commitment to clinical schedules that meet the student demand, including the possibility of working outside business hours.

Requirements:

  • M.D. and eligible for licensure in the Province of Ontario.
  • Member in good standing of the Ontario Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSO).
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association malpractice insurance (CMPA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CCFP, FRCPC or FRCSC.
  • Experience in clinical medicine (family practice, emergency medicine, adolescent medicine).

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
