Senior Cardiologist

We are seeking an experienced Internist to join our growing team at APEX Heart Centre. As a physician, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients, advising on long-term heart health management, and collaborating with specialists and healthcare providers.

• Conduct thorough patient interviews, including medical history, physical exams, and treatment planning.
• Diligently diagnose and treat patients with cardiovascular diseases.
• Develop and execute tailored treatment plans, encompassing medication, lifestyle changes, and interventions.
• Analyze and complete reports for cardiac testing.
• Collaborate effectively with specialists, nurses, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and/or their families about heart health, preventative measures, and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) and adhere to regulatory standards.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development.

• Certification in Internal Medicine.
• Enrollment with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
• Active licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
• Registration with the Ministry of Health (MOH).
• Proven experience working in a cardiac clinic or hospital setting diagnosing and treating cardiac patients.
• Strong communication skills, with experience communicating with patients and/or families.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
