Salon Manager Job Summary

At SmartStyle Hair Salon, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Salon Manager to lead our team and drive business growth. As a Salon Manager, you will be responsible for managing all salon operations, providing leadership and tools for success, and ensuring the highest quality of service for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of salon operations, including staff management, inventory control, and customer service.
  • Leadership and Development: Lead by example, provide coaching and mentoring to staff, and create a positive work environment that fosters growth and development.
  • Business Development: Focus on increasing profitability, developing business strategies, and teaching stylists the ins and outs of business.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure that every guest receives exceptional service, and that our salon maintains the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
  • Recruitment and Training: Hire, recruit, train, and handle conflicts and client complaints with ease and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Leadership and Customer Service: Lead by example, with a strong focus on customer service and the ability to resolve challenges with professionalism.
  • Business Acumen: Have a strong understanding of business principles, including financial management, marketing, and human resources.
  • Technical Competency: Possess a current cosmetology or barber license, as required by state/provincial regulations.
  • Flexibility and Availability: Be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and be willing to travel to mandatory meetings and training sessions.
  • Technical Skills: Be tech-savvy and able to perform administrative tasks, including closing out the system at the end of the day.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
