About the Role

We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Claims Assistant II to join our growing team at Intact Financial Corporation.

As a Legal Claims Assistant II, you will provide administrative support to our lawyers, including scheduling meetings, drafting correspondence, and preparing pleadings. You will also implement an effective diary system to manage the lawyer's practice and partner with assigned lawyers to manage workflow and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to lawyers, including scheduling meetings and drafting correspondence
  • Implement an effective diary system to manage the lawyer's practice
  • Partner with assigned lawyers to manage workflow and scheduling
  • Support clients with scheduling appointments and exchanging information
  • Review and manage documents using software programs
  • Provide support to assistants, clerks, lawyers, and management

Requirements:

  • College diploma from a legal office administration or law clerk program
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in insurance defence litigation
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong document management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize with a disciplined approach to work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
