About the Role

We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Claims Assistant II to join our growing team at Intact Financial Corporation.

This role is responsible for providing administrative support to our lawyers, including scheduling meetings, drafting correspondence, and managing documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defence litigation and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to lawyers, including scheduling meetings and drafting correspondence
  • Implement an effective diary system to manage lawyer's practice
  • Partner with assigned lawyers to manage workflow and schedule appearances
  • Support clients with scheduling appointments and exchanging information
  • Review and manage documents using software programs
  • Provide support to assistants, clerks, lawyers, and management
Requirements
  • College diploma from a legal office administration or law clerk program
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in insurance defence litigation
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong document management skills and ability to learn software programs
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize with a disciplined approach to work
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
