Job Summary:

H&R Block Canada, a leading provider of tax preparation services, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive HR training programs to address business needs, with a focus on leadership development and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with leaders and associates to provide coaching on performance management, career growth, and succession planning.
  • Review and develop HR policies to ensure compliance with regulations and provide guidance to employees.
  • Analyze HR trends and metrics to inform effective HR solutions and programs.
  • Support leaders with change management efforts during process implementation.
  • Stay up-to-date on provincial employment laws to ensure compliance across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field and 7 years of experience as an HR generalist, including 3 years of experience developing HR training programs.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in French a definite asset.
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Change management skills to support organizational transitions.
  • Proven collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity.
