Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Critical Care Unit at Fraser Health. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and collect information from various sources to develop a comprehensive care plan.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to provide person-centered care and promote patient autonomy.
  • Develop and implement nursing interventions to improve patient outcomes and reduce complications.
  • Document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes in accordance with established standards and policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health literacy and self-care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
