Learning and Development Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Learning and Development Specialist to join our People and Culture team at John Brooks Company Limited. As the architect of our career framework and onboarding programs, you will play a key role in shaping the future of talent development within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement innovative training programs that empower employees to grow and thrive in their careers, starting with a revamped onboarding structure applicable to new hires.
- Conduct training needs analysis and relevant assessments to identify training requirements across departments and recommend tailored learning solutions to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Work closely with senior management, department heads, and other internal stakeholders to gather feedback and insights that inform the development of training materials and career progression pathways.
- Lead and manage training projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, approved budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Leverage Dayforce LMS to build a central training repository and record-keeping.
- Develop metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and career framework initiatives, providing regular reports to stakeholders on progress and outcomes.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in training and development, making recommendations for program enhancements.
Requirements:
- College diploma or university degree in a related field.
- Between 6-9 years of relevant experience in the training, learning, and career development space.
- Project management experience; excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficient in learning management systems and training technologies.
- Strong proficiency in computer and software skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
