We are seeking a highly skilled Learning Experience Designer to join our team at The Institute for Performance and Learning. As a Learning Experience Designer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting engaging and impactful learning experiences for our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify learning needs and objectives, and translate them into effective learning solutions.
- Apply adult learning principles, instructional design theories, and industry best practices to create high-quality learning content.
- Design and develop learning assessments, evaluations, and metrics to measure the effectiveness of learning programs.
- Deliver scheduled education for administrative staff.
- Continuously evaluate and iterate on existing learning programs to ensure they are meeting the needs of learners and achieving desired outcomes.
- Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the field of learning experience design.
- Administer and maintain our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions within the LMS.
- Upload, organize, test, and maintain learning content, including courses, assessments, and resources.
- Monitor LMS performance and resolve technical issues.
- Generate and analyze LMS reports to track training progress, completion rates, and overall system usage.
- Provide technical training, support, and guidance to LMS users, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Champion a culture of learning and development, fostering an environment where employees are encouraged to grow and pursue their professional and personal development goals.
- Post Secondary diploma or certificate in adult education or instructional design or working towards; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Working towards a CTDP or CTP designation is an asset.
- Strong understanding of instructional design theories and approaches, and hybrid learning strategies.
- Experience in process improvement methodology such as Lean is an asset.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in facilitation, course creation, and delivery.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in branch operations, including but not limited to client coordination is required.
- Understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Experience working in Home Care, health care or senior services would be an asset.
- Working knowledge of Procura or other scheduling software is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
