Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Credit and Collections Analyst to join our team at HSE Integrated in Calgary. As a key member of our Accounting department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of credit risks and the timely resolution of accounts receivable issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve client payment processes and reduce credit risks.
  • Analyze and support credit approval and review processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough account research and analysis to identify potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve complex credit and collections issues.
  • Proactively communicate with clients via phone, email, and mail to resolve billing matters and facilitate resolution.
  • Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging status, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Perform daily cash application and ensure accurate and timely processing of payments.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to management on credit and collections performance.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a small to mid-sized organization with exposure to Canada's energy sector.
  • A credit specialization (FCI or CCP) completed or in progress would be an asset.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish respect and rapport with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, with intermediate to advanced experience in data analysis and reporting.
