About the Role

CarePartners is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence (NSWOC) to join our team. As a NSWOC, you will provide expert wound and ostomy care to patients in our clinics and community settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage wounds and ostomies, providing conservative sharp wound debridement and other debridement methods as needed
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote optimal patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient goals and objectives
  • Provide education and support to patients and caregivers on wound and ostomy care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in wound and ostomy care
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) diploma
  • Current College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) registration in good standing
  • Graduate of Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence Canada (NSWOCC, formerly CAET), CNA exam may be pending
  • Several years of escalating experience managing wounds and ostomies
  • Strong desire and commitment to making a difference in the lives of our patients
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle as regular travel is required
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • CPR Certification
  • Current immunization record including 2 step TB test
  • To protect our patients, we require a current vulnerable sector check and a clear background check
