CarePartners is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a NSWOC Nurse Specialist. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide wound and ostomy consultation services to patients in our clinics and community settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive wound and ostomy care to patients, including assessment, prevention, and interventions for wound infections and ostomy care.
- Care for patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and continence issues, including lower leg assessments and ABPIs.
- Critically appraise wound care literature and apply research evidence to practice.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and support to patients and their families.
- Registered Nurse (RN) diploma and current College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) registration in good standing.
- Graduate of Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence Canada (NSWOCC, formerly CAET), CNA exam may be pending.
- Several years of escalating experience managing wounds and ostomies.
- Strong desire and commitment to making a difference in the lives of our patients.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license and vehicle, as regular travel is required.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- CPR Certification and current immunization record, including 2-step TB test.
- Current vulnerable sector check and clear background check.
