Salary: The salary for this position ranges from $29.60 to $34.13 per hour, as per the OPSEU Collective Agreement.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at our Kirkland Lake location. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- You must be a graduate of an accredited Laboratory Technician training program or equivalent.
- You must be registered with the MLPAO as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
- Possession of cMLA/TMLPAO certification is an asset.
- Experience in medical laboratory and phlebotomy is preferred.
- You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
- You must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Bilingualism in both official languages is considered an asset.
- You must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
Benefits:
- You will be eligible to enroll in the HEALTHCARE OF ONTARIO PENSION PLAN (HOOPP).
- You will receive percent in lieu of benefits and vacation percentage paid out bi-weekly, up to 20% as per the OPSEU Collective Agreement.
Other Information:
