Job SummaryWe are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at Lakes District Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist II, you will be responsible for performing laboratory work and related duties in the fields of Biochemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Urology, and Microbiology.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory tests and procedures to analyze body fluids, tissues, and cells
- Interpret test results and report them to physicians
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical laboratory technologies and techniques
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field
- Registration as a member of the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
We offer a competitive salary range of $36.69 - $45.81 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package including extended health/dental and a municipal pension plan. You will also have access to four weeks of vacation time after one year of service, and financial support for moving expenses may be available.
