Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Technologist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our laboratory operations team, you will be responsible for supervising other employees in the delivery of diagnostic services and providing technical assistance.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical laboratory technology and experience in supervisory roles. They will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines and ensuring compliance with quality assurance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery of diagnostic services
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to laboratory staff to ensure high-quality test results
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory procedures and test results
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of laboratory services
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program with attained certification by CSMLS
  • Minimum three years recent related work experience, including supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Fluent language skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and patients
