Job Summary

Dynacare is seeking a skilled Certified Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Lake Country, BC. As a key member of our Laboratory and Health Services Center, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process blood samples and other laboratory specimens with accuracy and efficiency
  • Enter requisitions and results into our system, ensuring timely and accurate data entry
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, displaying empathy and kindness in stressful situations
  • Contribute to meeting departmental and corporate quality metrics, regulatory compliance, and quality indicators
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless laboratory operations

Requirements:

  • Secondary school diploma and completion of a Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course with specialized training in phlebotomy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and understandably to patients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Passion for supporting healthy lives and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
