About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at 1186729 B.C. Ltd. as a key member of our facilities management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and Training: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our cleaning staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Service Recommendations: Identify and recommend additional services required to maintain our facilities, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Work Schedules: Establish and manage work schedules to ensure that our facilities are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees by facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Recruitment: Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster.
  • Credential Recognition: Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
  • Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Community Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Elder Support: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
Support for Visible Minorities
  • Hiring Policies: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
  • Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
  • Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
