Job Description

**About the Role**

Venters Recruits is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Director to lead our retail sales team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive retail sales strategy to drive growth and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Retail Sales Strategy: Create and implement a strategic plan to meet and exceed revenue targets, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Lead and Mentor Sales Team: Manage and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of success and professional development.
  • Build and Maintain Retail Partner Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, ensuring alignment with company goals and increasing market share.
  • Market Expansion and Analysis: Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within the retail space, expanding our footprint in key regions.
  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Regularly assess sales performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to enhance results.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and distribution teams to align on product offerings, promotions, and market positioning.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the retail sales budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation.
  • Customer Focus: Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and trends within the retail industry to tailor sales approaches effectively.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in retail sales, ideally within the retail industry.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with key retail partners and customers.
  • Sales Acumen: A results-driven professional with a deep understanding of retail sales processes, market trends, and customer behavior.
  • Education: A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
