Director of Retail Sales

At Venters Recruits, we are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our retail sales division as the Director of Retail Sales. This key leadership role is perfect for a dynamic individual who excels in developing retail strategies, managing sales teams, and driving growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive retail sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of success and professional development.
  • Retail Partner Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, ensuring alignment with company goals and increasing market share.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within the retail space, expanding the company's footprint in key regions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess sales performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to enhance results.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and distribution teams to align on product offerings, promotions, and market positioning.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the retail sales budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation.
  • Customer Focus: Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and trends within the plumbing and construction industry to tailor sales approaches effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in retail sales, ideally within the plumbing, construction, or related industries.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with key retail partners and customers.
  • Sales Acumen: A results-driven professional with a deep understanding of retail sales processes, market trends, and customer behavior.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop long-term sales strategies while being adaptable to market changes and business needs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Education: A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
