Microfluidics Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Microfluidics Systems Engineer to join our team at Automotive and Surface Transportation. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for developing innovative microfluidic systems and devices for data analytics in various applications such as in vitro diagnostics, precision medicine, and food/water safety.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related field, with significant experience in designing and using microfluidic devices. You will also have expertise in integrating, automating, and deploying complex bioanalytical protocols through microfluidic technologies such as centrifugal, digital, capillary, pressure, or microvalve-based microfluidics.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop microfluidic systems and devices for data analytics
- Integrate and automate complex bioanalytical protocols using microfluidic technologies
- Develop deep-learning and artificial intelligence applications to support high-throughput dataset generation and analysis
- Conceive and design polymer microfluidic devices using CNC machining, hot embossing, injection molding, thermoforming, or equivalent technologies
- PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related field
- Significant experience in designing and using microfluidic devices
- Expertise in integrating, automating, and deploying complex bioanalytical protocols through microfluidic technologies
- Experience in developing deep-learning and artificial intelligence applications
- Practical knowledge of designing and fabricating polymer microfluidic devices
We offer a competitive salary range of $63,470 - $179,422 per annum, based on expertise, outcomes, and impacts of previous work experience. Additionally, we provide a wide range of benefits including a robust pension plan, comprehensive health and dental coverage, disability and life insurance, office closure at the end of December, and additional supports to enhance your well-being throughout your career and beyond.
The estimated salary for this position is around $110,000 per year, based on the company's location and the required qualifications and experience.
